Welcome to after hours

A collection of miscellaneous designs and other fun things
lilacustudios
A cozy stationery and print shop created by two sisters during quarantine.

As co-founder and designer, I was responsible for sourcing all materials and setting up an in-house process for printing, packaging, and shipping. Celina and I launched our e-commerce journey on Shopify and Etsy, selling our own illustrated designs and building a customer experience that was both delightful and eco-friendly (something we cared deeply about).

From handwritten notes to sustainable and branded packaging, every detail was crafted to make each order feel special. We also created marketing content and videos to organically drive traffic and connect with our community.

Though lilacustudios is currently on hiatus, we hope to bring it back in the future with fresh energy and new ideas.

Design Marathon, but Make It Nails
For the past two years, I’ve been doing my own gel nails and I’ve completely fallen in love with the process. It’s a hands-on, deeply rewarding creative outlet that combines patience, precision, and personal flair.

My designs are heavily inspired by Douyin and Asian nail trends, especially those with 3D elements, sculptural textures, and layered complexity. Each set is treated like a mini design project: I start with a moodboard, sketch ideas, and plan out every nail like a tiny canvas to figure out the layering, materials, and techniques needed.

Some sets take me 5 to 9 hours to complete, carefully building layer by layer to achieve the final look. Whether it’s sculpted charms, iridescent glazes, or jelly gradients, every detail is intentional. It’s a tactile and expressive process that reminds me how thoughtful design can be, even at the smallest scale.
Illustrations & Crafts
I’ve always been a crafty person at heart, constantly making, drawing, or building things that catch my interest.

Whether it’s digital illustration or hands-on projects, I naturally gravitate toward flat design and simple but cute creations. I love bringing ideas to life in a way that feels approachable, a little whimsical, and often inspired by everyday joys.

These side projects are where I get to play, experiment, and make things just because they spark delight.
Through My Lens
I’ve been drawn to photography ever since I was little, always carrying a camera around, capturing moments and scenic views.

These are some of my favourite photos from recent travels, glimpses of places and memories that I hold close.
